VP Quality Assurance

The position as VP of Quality Assurance is placed in the Staff Department – People, Culture & Quality, with close interface with all parts of the organization. The position reports to Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Ensure all processes, procedures, and documentation comply with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Utilize quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
  • Plan and conduct internal audits and identify areas for improvement according to ISO 9001.
  • Update and manage the global audit plan to ensure regular assessment and compliance.
  • Prepare for and coordinate external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are in place.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and risk.
  • Work closely with the corporate management team to align quality objectives with business goals.
  • Provide regular reports on quality performance, risks, and improvement initiatives to senior leadership.
  • Promote a strong quality culture within the organization through effective communication and training.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to develop internal quality standards.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to develop vendors and set clear quality goals.
  • Work closely with engineering team to develop quality standards for New Product Introduction (NPI).

Desired qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or other relevant education.
  • Minimum of 10 years as Quality Manager/Advisor
  • Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing or process industry.
  • Audit Manager competence and experience with audits, QMCe certification or equivalent as a quality auditor is an advantage
  • A track record of delivering quality and manufacturing systems.
  • Experience of working successfully within a matrix environment.
  • Able to manage improvement projects as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Ability to build credibility, trust, and rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive and sophisticated management of key stakeholders.
  • A forward thinker who takes initiative to identify and resolve gaps.
  • Experience with relevant IT/system solutions. We use RMT+
  • A proactive problem solver and communicator.
  • Detailed working knowledge of:
  • PFMEA, Control Plans, Statistical Analysis and PPAP
  • MTBF and determining life cycle Cost of Ownership for quality
  • Supplier Quality Management
  • Field Service Quality Management
