Quality Engineer – Bergen Factory

Position Summary

We are pleased to announce an exciting career opportunity placed in our factory in Bergen. The position`s main responsibility is to establish and continuously improve a Quality Control System for the Production Plan. This is an important role to ensure that our production meets all Corvus Quality Standard requirements at all times. The position will report to Manufacturing Manager Frank Espeland.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a Quality Control System in line with the Production Plan
  • Incoming Inspection
  • Close cooperation with Sustaining Engineering dep. and Supply Chain dep. related to inspection criteria and quality issues
  • Quality control and follow-up of Non-Conformance
  • Responsibility for tool calibration at Sub-Contractor
  • Daily focus on QHSE
  • Participate in improvement projects within the position`s area of responsibility

Work Experience and personal skills required

  • Bachelor’s degree/Technical Vocational College in Machinery or Industry Mechanics 
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably from larger Industry Environment/Manufacturer
  • Hands on experience with production, tooling and tolerances
  • Truck driver permit, preferably T2-T4
  • Experienced within Lean and 5S principles
  • Advanced digital user. Experience with ERP-tools and/or Dynamics 365 will be an advantage
  • Exceptional people skills and team player
  • Flexible and solution oriented
  • Well organized and good multitasking capabilities
  • English and Norwegian fluency
