Accounts Payable Clerk (one year maternity leave contract)

Position

Reporting to the Controller, the AP Clerk processes invoices and supports the Finance and Administration Department with various administrative tasks. This position is a one-year temporary cover for a maternity leave.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer invoices including down payment and milestone invoicing & billbacks
  • Prepare semi-monthly payroll and process benefit contributions
  • Submit payroll withholding and other remittances, quarterly and annually
  • Process labour allocations and reconcile payroll-related transactions
  • Assemble information for external auditors for the year-end audit as required
  • Maintain an orderly filing system
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Experience with office administration and processing invoices
  • Accounting or payroll experience is an asset
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with NetSuite or other cloud-based accounting system
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Proficient in the use of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Enrollment in the CPA program is an asset
