Production Operator

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Operator with a strong background in the field of production, automation, machinery, or industry mechanics to join our team in Bergen, Norway. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the automated equipment and systems used in the manufacturing process. This includes troubleshooting, ensuring parts availability, performing preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure a good production workflow and extend the production lifespan. Knowledge of Lean and 5S and other manufacturing tools could be an advantage.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Responsible for operation of the manual production cells
  • Ensure that the Work Instructions (WI) for the relevant production cells/processes are followed
  • Unpacking of parts and ensure an efficient production process
  • Participate in Lean project and organizing of the production area
  • Daily Maintenance and tidiness of the production area
  • HSE focus
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise with the equipment
  • Preforming routine maintenance tasks, including lubricating moving parts, cleaning equipment, and replacing worn or damaged parts
  • Maintaining equipment and machinery documentation, including maintenance logs and repair records

Qualifications, education and skills

  • Experienced worker in the field of production, automation, machinery, or industry mechanics. 3-5 years of relevant experience from automated production line can compensate for lack of education.
  • Relevant work experience from production line and robots.
  • Experience within Lean and 5S.
  • Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Capable written and verbal skills in Norwegian and English.
  • Passionate team player
  • FSE Industry – low voltage with first aid
  • Detail-oriented personality type, self-starter, structured, ability to handle multiple         tasks in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, being able to coordinate with other               members of the manufacturing team and other departments
  • Drive and flexibility to fit in with a growing company.
