Corvus Energy is the leading global supplier of zero-emission solutions for the ocean space. We specialize in developing cutting-edge battery energy storage solutions and hydrogen fuel cell systems to reduce emissions from a wide range of applications, from ferries and offshore vessels to tankers and cruise ships. Our commitment to sustainability and innovation drives our pursuit of powering a clean future.
Reporting to the Director, System Integration and Product Release, the Agile Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the activity of several small technology teams working in an agile mode to develop critical elements of Corvus’ next-generation battery systems. Those teams are cross-functional in nature and largely focused on hardware-specific technical challenges, though a wide array of other technical challenges will be managed through this agile workflow. This is a 12-month contract position.
Responsibilities:
In cooperation with the Director, Technical Product Management, manage the planning, progress, and record-keeping necessary to support the work of the agile technology development teams as they work through sprint cycles to solve specific product-oriented technical challenges, including:
Ensuring the teams have clear, consistent guidance on their success criteria.
Monitoring the execution of the technology development sprints, ensuring that the teams:
Are well balanced in terms of composition, skills, and resources.
Are working at maximum efficiency and with minimum risk exposure.
Are kept free of distractions and interference.
Hosting the daily standups and managing communication with and between the teams.
Managing the backlog of technical investigations, ensuring that those topic areas are regularly pushed to the technology development teams and that a steady cadence of sprint activity is maintained.
Assisting in the continuous evolution and improvement of the agile workflow, including changes to the templates, work environment, cultural norms, and other factors to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Time permitting, support the work of the Project Managers responsible for the adjacent waterfall-mode product integration projects, adding value in areas to improve the quality and timeframe of project outcomes, likely including any or all of the following:
Follow-up of assigned tasks amongst the project team members and balancing of task loading.
Proactive task-level risk identification and management.
Coordination of demand and procurement related to product prototype manufacturing.
Work Experience and Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in agile project management, and familiarity with agile project management principles.
Experience working in agile hardware development is an asset but not a requirement.
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is an asset but not a requirement.
Personal Qualifications:
Possess a collaborative mindset with a strong drive to solve problems alongside other team members, and to creatively connect people and problems together.
Excited by technology and comfortable working with engineers across a wide range of technical disciplines.
Highly organized and have tenacious attention to detail – you are comfortable with being solely responsible for the timeliness and productivity of the agile technology development teams.
Incredible communications skills, as demonstrated in your cover letter.
Have the drive, confidence, and adaptability to fit in as part of a small, growing company.
