Hagland Captain was equipped with a hybrid upgrade in 2019. This became the first project of its kind ever for vessels operating in coastal waters. The battery capacity make it possible to sail in and out of the port only on electric power for approx. 30 minutes - which effectively reduces noise and pollution in port areas.
