Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Lead, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes, new product introduction and the further development, assembly and commissioning of new assembly lines, facility & equipment maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Creation & maintenance of assembly Work Instructions suitable for international factories
  • Experience with electrical equipment and testing of electrical equipment
  • Process Optimization; evaluate and improve existing processes for quality improvement, cost reduction and capacity improvement
  • Process Development; develop new processes to improve capacity and quality
  • Design of jigs, fixtures and tooling
  • Process Validation & Verification; ensure product meets requirements and specifications
  • Familiar with DFMA: work in parallel with the designers to ensure design is optimized for manufacturing
  • Develop & perform process training for staff
  • Ensure Lean manufacturing principles are incorporated into processes
  • Support the Continuous Improvement process
  • Familiar with PFD, PFMEA, Control Plans
  • Production line & facilities maintenance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
  • 4+ years of experience in equivalent field
  • Proficient in the use of SolidWorks and PDM
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Exceptional people skills are a pre-requisite
  • Have the drive and flexibility to fit in with a growing company
  • Be well versed in ISO9001 or equivalent quality system.
  • Speaking Mandarin is an asset
