Corvus Energy wins the BC Exporter of the Year Award 2015
Corvus Energy, the industry leader in advanced lithium ion energy storage systems for maritime hybrid and fully electric propulsion systems is chosen as BC Exporter of the Year from a list of accomplished category winners
Richmond, B.C., Canada (November 23, 2015) -The BC Export Awards are the province’s most prestigious awards paying tribute to the success and innovative approaches of BC export companies. Extending across industries the awards recognize achievements in nine different categories and are a celebration of the contributions exporters have made to both the provincial and national economy.
Every year, the BC Export Awards brings together hundreds of senior executives from BC’s most innovative and experienced export businesses. Presented by the Government of British Columbia and the BC division of the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, this respected awards ceremony has recognized over 300 companies since its inception and reflects the depth and diversity of BC’s economy over the past 30 years. Nominations now reach up to 400 annually, culminating in over 200 applications from BC’s top exporters each year.
Corvus was nominated to the overall prize by first winning the BC Export Award for Sustainability category which recognizes companies in BC that export and have shown leadership in integrating the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainability into their internal management practices and that promote the principles of sustainability.
Finalists are then chosen from each of the nine categories by an independent panel of judges selected by the co-hosts and the sponsors for their background, experience and objectivity. From the category winners, only one company is selected and awarded the coveted “BC Exporter of the Year” Award.
“We are very proud to be selected as the BC Exporter of the year from such an accomplished and innovative group of companies, this award reaffirms our commitment to developing superior battery technology that makes a meaningful difference in the reduction of fossil fuel emissions globally” said Corvus COO Neil Lang who accepted the award.
