New Career Opportunity: Customer Service Engineer [Bergen, Norway]

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Customer Service Engineer is responsible for working with customers remotely and directly to resolve issues and maintain uptime, servicing customer installations as needed, and communicating with Engineering to feed back field issues to improve product reliability and functionality.


Key tasks that the candidate will be responsible for include:

  • Work to ensure customer satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Provide support to customers and Corvus field service personnel to troubleshoot and resolve issues at customer installations.
  • Create and update customer issue tickets as needed to provide up-to-date status on assigned cases.
  • Download and analyze customer data for troubleshooting and monitoring purposes.
  • Connect to remote systems to perform diagnostics and upgrade and configure software.
  • Create RMAs and Sales Orders for returning and shipping parts to and from customers.
  • Escalate and manage resolution of issues that require engineering resources as needed.
  • Travel to customer sites to perform service actions.
  • Create and maintain internal and customer-facing documentation to disseminate product information related to installation, operation, and diagnostics.
  • Participate in creating and improving processes that allow Corvus to more efficiently deliver products and services to our customers.

Knowledge and Experience:                                                                                                                                                              

  • Degree or Diploma in field of electronics or computer technician or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem solving skills applied to electrical-mechanical and software systems.
  • Proven professional English skills, both verbal and in writing
  • Hands on experience installing and testing hardware in an industrial environment.
  • Hands on mentality.
  • Previous experience with lithium-ion battery technology and systems is an asset.
  • Interest in “green” and “eco-friendly” technologies.
  • Organized and good multitasking skills with the ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good communication and crisis management skills.
  • Able to travel internationally.

Position Summary :

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Technician is responsible for the assembly of mechanical and electrical components as well as final product testing. Candidates must be willing to move to a multi-shift work schedule, if needed. The candidate is expected to assist in developing the manufacturing processes. Attention to detail, quality awareness and team focus are your key assets.


  • Assembly of mechanical and electronic components.
  • Awareness of ESD sensitive component handling.
  • Conduct product testing on battery packs (requires an awareness of working around heavy duty electrical equipment).
  • Be actively involved in continuous improvement activities.
  • Implement and maintain 5S in your work area.
  • Show attention to detail.
  • Perform in-process inspection.
  • Be physically able to lift 20kg without assistance.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and limited troubleshooting activities as required.
  • Provides technical assistance and guidance to other personnel.
  • Provide training, when necessary, to new technicians.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized work instructions.
